============================================== MATT THE CAT AND THE JUKE IN THE BACK HALLOWEEN SPECIAL ON ROCK-IT RADIO SHOW #4335
Halloween Rhythm & Blues
Matt The Cat experiences some paranormal rhythms coming out of his "Juke In The Back" as we celebrate the truly spooky, sinister and down-right crazy sounds of a vintage rhythm & blues Halloween. Eugene Fox meets the devil, The Hollywood Flames take us to Frankenstein's Den and Bill Doggett throws a Monster's Party. It's a treat, not a trick to hear an alternate take of Screamin' Jay Hawkins' 1956 classic, "I Put A Spell On You," with EXTRA screaming and a killer sax solo payed by Sam "The Man" Taylor. So clear your voodoo calendar and dig the sounds from the outer bounds on this week's Halloween edition of the "Juke In The Back."
1. Swanee River Boogie - Albert Ammons - Mercury 1947 2. Voodoo Voodoo - Lavern Baker - Atlantic 1961 3. King Kong - Big T Tyler - Aladdin 1957 4. Frankenstein's Den - Hollywood Flames - Ebb 1958 5. Castin' My Spell - The Johnny Otis Show - Capitol 1959 6. Black Cat Blues - Lowell Fulson - Down Beat 1948 7. Monster's Party - Bill Doggett - King 1959 8. Peak-A-Boo - The Cadillacs - Josie 1958 9. I Put A Spell On You (Alt. Take)- Screamin' Jay Hawkins - Okeh 1956 10. Screamin' Ball (At Dracula Hall) - The Duponts - Roulette 1958 11. Bo Meets The Monster - Bo Diddley - Checker 1958 12. Legend Of Sleepy Hollow - The Monotones - Argo 1958 13. GREAT 78 - Witchcraft - The Spiders - Imperial 1955 14. Nightmare - Big Mama Thornton - Peacock 1953 15. Sinner's Dream - Eugene Fox - Checker 1954 16. Cadillac Funeral - Peppermint Harris - Cash 1955 17. Alligator Wine - Screamin' Jay Hawkins - Okeh 1958 18. Halloween Spooks - Lambert, Hendricks & Ross - Columbia 1962 19. After Hours - Erskine Hawkins - Bluebird 1946
All set for Halloween on the Juke in the back show! If you would like to write to Matt and give a future request, or comment or would like to say hello. You can reach him at: mattthecat@rockitradio.net

HOW TO ORDER OLD ROCK-IT RADIO SHOWS = YOUR PURCHASES HELP US STAY ONLINE!!!
We have received many
inquiries on how to order Rock-it Radio shows that are no longer in our
on archives webpage. These shows are still available on CD and mailed
to you within 24 hours of receiving payment. To help search for older
shows that you may be looking for you may want to check the Rock-it
Radio blog site. Old newsletters describing the shows and playlists are archived there and there is a menu bar on the right side that breaks down every playlist by month. This website is: http://rock-itradio.blogspot.com
Then you may either pay
by check or money order or paypal. Rock-it Radio shows are only $9.50
U.S. each and are studio quality broadcasts that were placed on Compact
Disc here at the Rock-it Radio Studio. We have a flat rate shipping
charge of $1.50 U.S. so if you order one or several -- it is still only
$1.50 U.S. shipping. And we ship worldwide, overseas orders are
mailed out first class airmail. Instructions where to send payment is
at our webpage: http://www.rockitradio.net/order.html
When you order a Rock-it
Radio show or shop at our Rock-it Radio Launching Pad you help keep
these oldies alive and help us pay the bills here at Rock-it Radio. And
at the same time -- you are not getting nothing for your donation, but
actually some of the shows and memories we hope we keep alive here at
Rock-it Radio.
