AL COOL DADDY SMITH AND PART I OF THE GREATEST
ROCK INSTRUMENTALS OF ALL TIME ON SHOW #5206

This show is Part One of a Two part series featuring some of
the greatest and most famous instrumentals from the first decade
of Rock and Roll.
Not all instrumentals back then were strictly Rock and Roll but
were rather Pop Instrumentals. Some examples of this are
contained in the two shows. It should be realized that for those
of us who were teenagers back then recordings such as 'Autumn Leaves'
and "So Rare" though not Rock and Roll are part of our memories
of that era and were played on the radio along side the Rock and
Roll tunes that we loved. They are integrated into our memory
of what that "Golden Era" had to offer with respect to the music.
The play list is as follows:

1. Bumble Bee Boogie-B. Bumble and The Stingers  1961
2. Sleep Walk-Santo and Johnny  1959
3. Pipeline-The Chantays   1963
4. Honky Tonk Parts One and Two-Bill Doggett  1956
5. Raunchy-Bill Justis  1957
6. Memphis-Lonnie Mack-1963
7. Peter Gunn-Ray Anthony Orchestra  1959
8. Guitar Boogie Shuffle-The Virtues  1959
9. You Can't Sit Down Parts One and Two-Phil Upchurch Combo  1961
10. Stranger On The Shore-Acker Bilk  1962
11. Harlem Nocturne-The Viscounts  1959
12. Jivin' Around Parts One and Two-The Ernie Freeman Combo  1956
13. White Silver Sands-Bill Black Combo  1960
14. Woo Hoo-The Rock-A-Teens  1959
15. Bulldog-The Fireballs  1960
16. Autumn Leaves-Roger Williams  1955
17. The In Crowd - Ramsey Lewis 1965
18. In The Mood-The Ernie Fields Orchestra  1959
19. Red River Rock-Johnny and The Hurricanes  1959
20. Last Date-Floyd Cramer   1960
21  Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White-Perez Prado   1955
22. Walk Don't Run-The Ventures   1960

Thanks Al for the Instrumental Tribute!

ROCK-IT RADIO SHOW #5215

About a year ago Steve Propes Rock and Roll Author and
expert and DJ who produced his shows out of WPMD in Cerritos,

his studios to produce his shows.
But his last 50 shows still had not aired on Rock-it Radio.
In the move from California to Idaho these shows have been

next few months.  So, come on in and tune in!

If you have a recording studio in the Long Beach, California
area perhaps you could make a deal with Steve to where he can
produce these shows once again.  Or if you have any comments for

RECRUITING FOR RADIO PERSONALITIES FOR
ROCK-IT RADIO

Do you know your 50s and 60s Rock & Roll, Doo wop
or Rockabilly?  And the ability to produce a show
on CD?
We do require a playlist for this newsletter but
your show will stay online for the world for approx.
3 weeks.  Unlike some stations where you broadcast one
time and it's gone forever.
If interested check out our Rock-it Radio Team page
at: http://www.rockitradio.net/team.html

We are also looking for writers and translators!
FM OUTLET BLOWS POWER SUPPLY!  STATION ENGINEER
QUICK FIX.

Last week our FM outlet Rock-it Radio 99.1 FM here in
Post Falls, Idaho snugged nicely right in between Coeur d'Alene
Idaho and Spokane Washington.  The Power Supply to our transmitter
died after several years of operation in Ventura, California and
briefly in Kodiak, Alaska.
Thankfully our Station Engineer Steve Armstrong was able to
give it a quick fix when he had the perfectly regulated match to
our transmitter himself.  So, though we were down for a couple of
days - Rock-it Radio remains on FM as well here in the Inner Mountain
Northwest of USA.
COLLECTING AIRCHECKS - A HOBBY OF RADIO NOSTALGIA
What is a Aircheck?  It is simply a recording of a radio broadcast.  Usually collected by Radio fans.
Come check out our webpage on collecting Airchecks.

Come tune into  the World on your computer!

1000s of stations around the world now broadcast online.  We have a
link to some of the internet top directories to help you find these stations.

============================================
Rock-it Radio Program Webpage Reminder

Remember, if the show that you want to hear is getting close to the bottom
of the list of radio shows, you should tune in as soon as you can. These shows
to have a high audio quality require a lot of internet bandwidth and memory.
And currently we can only afford the
30
latest shows online here at Rock-it Radio.

So, when a new show is put online it knocks the oldest one off the Rock-it Radio
archives page.  Usually a show will at least last 16 to 20 days, once it is placed in
the archives.

============================================
OUR SISTER STATION FIRST NATIONS BROADCASTING.

We invite you to also check out our sister station -- First Nations
Broadcasting. And tune into the rather Cool North of the Yukon and Alaska
with our very own Debbie Snowdove!

============================================
Well that is just about it for this newsletter and playlists of our latest
shows. We hope that you enjoy them.
We will do our best to keep these shows on for at least 14
days and hopefully 21 days.
All the best always,
Bennie Dingo
