The face of Rock and Roll would have been quite different without the recordings that were made in the 1950's and 1960's by this individual and we would be poorer for it.  A case is made for George Goldner's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame throughout the show despite his dubious associations with unsavoury characters of the past.  Characters, I might add, that American TV continues to mythologize in series such as 'The Sopranos' and Board Walk Empire.
