AL 'COOL DADDY' SMITH AND PART 5 - THE FINAL LOOK
AT GEORGE GOLDNER'S NEW YORK RECORD LABELS
ON SHOW #4345

From Studio C in Brampton, Ontario Canada the Cool Daddy
returns on Rock-it Radio Show #4345  with a continued look at the
labels George Goldner built.  This show, Part Five of the feature
on the labels that George Goldner built  concludes my look at these labels.
The face of Rock and Roll would have been quite different without the
recordings that were made in the 1950's and 1960's by this individual
and we would be poorer for it.
A case is made for George Goldner's induction into the Rock and Roll
Hall of fame throughout the show despite his dubious associations with
unsavoury characters of the past.
Characters, I might add, that American TV continues to mythologize
in series such as 'The Sopranos' and Board Walk Empire. The play list is as follows:

1.The Woo Woo train-The Valentines  1956
2. I Promise to Remember-Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers   1956
3. Baby Come Back-Johnny Rivers  1958
4. Memories-The Chantels  1958
5. It Took A Long Time-Malcolm Dodds and The Tune Drops  1957
6. Lamplight-The Deltas  1957
7. Piano Player Play A Tune-Lorraine Ellis and The Crows 1954
8. I Was Such A fool-The Five Budds  1953
9. I Want her Back-The Five Budds  1953
10. Love Walked In-The Flamingos  1959
11. Good Night Sweetheart-The Flamingos  1959
12. Two Loves Have I-Bill 'Bass' Gordon  1954
13. What's The matter baby-Faye Simmons  1958
14. Tears On My Pillow-Little Anthony and Then Imperials  1958
15. Two People In The World-Little Anthony and The Imperials  1958
16. Never Bite Off More Than You can Chew-The Velours  1961
17. Rags To Riches-Jimmy Pemberton  1959
18. Altar Of love-The Channels  1957
19. Tomorrow Night-Cab Calloway  1958
20. That's My Desire-The Channels  1957
21. Share-Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers   1956
22. Every Night (I Pray)-The Chantels   1958

Thank you Al for this feature of George Goldner's record labels.
His influence on Rock & Roll should not be overlooked.  If you would
like to write to Al with upcoming show ideas, comments, hello's etc.
you can reach him at:  cooldaddy@rockitradio.net

SAVE MONEY ON PRINTER INK THROUGH ROCK-IT
RADIO!

One of the biggest office expenses here at Rock-it Radio is

printer ink.  Everytime we would go to Staples or Office Mart
we would pay $50 to $100 on printer ink.  We have been able
to cut that cost in half with mailorder through 123 inkjet.  We
liked the savings so much we have endorsed and became a
affiliate of this service.  So, cut your printer ink costs in half
and help Rock-it Radio at the same time, by ordering through
123 Inkjets on our webpage.  The link is at the bottom of our
main webpage at: http://www.rockitradio.net

I hope you will be as pleasantly surprised as I was with the
savings of printer ink!

Or go direct to check out the printer ink savings at:
